I have spent this week trying to figure out a way to gain greater distribution for our new hand tool. Hand tools are not our specialty, we have focused on power tools. I had hoped that our brand equity would allow us to quickly be accepted by our biggest customers, but alas this was not the case. Now I have enough inventory to fill those customers, but no customers. So each night when I wake up I think about the 1,000,000 in inventory I need to sell. Compound that with the fact that one of the biggest hand tool makers in the world is trying to block our entry because they have a competing hand tool and I have a recipe for STRESS. I am not letting that slow me down though, we are finding many small customers who are able to react quickly, and are making them offers to get the tool into their hands during this holiday season. At the same time our biggest advertising spend is just around the corner so things should start breaking loose! I will sign off with a cool tool from another company.
